Leave it to Blogspot to have website malfunctions the day after I vowed to post something everyday...the text box hasn't been working to type things in.  Luckily for you (I flatter myself into thinking you actually care), my recent sleep schedule of 3am-12:00pm slumber has allowed me to put off posting and check back in the wee morning hours, and, lo and behold, all is well in the blogosphere once again.  (I've never used the word blogosphere before...too hardcore tech-y for me?  Probably.  Only Geek Squad types can pull that off without sounding corny).

In the meantime, I also finished reading Agatha Christie's "A Murder Is Announced."  If you like a good murder mystery, I highly recommend it...it'll keep you baffled throughout, and the end will blow your mind, and it costs like $7 at Borders.  Next on the reading list: C.S. Lewis, "The Screwtape Letters": to be retrieved from the bookshelf across the hall immediately following this blog posting.

In other news of the day, my car has heat again (cue applause).  I also procured one more textbook for the upcoming semester, delved through the ever-entertaining past lives of middle school and high school with my best friend Jessica by digging through her diary- and note-laden memory box, and had a much-needed heart-to-heart phone call with my friend Lauren.

Perhaps most significantly, I have listed my goals into the super-planner, and chosen the five to be tackled in January.  On deck for this month: Rejuvenate Relationship With God, Make CCFOF Work a Priority, Create a Budget, Exercise Two Times Per Week, and Read for Fun.  Each of these breaks down into the following mini-goals:

-Rejuvenate Relationship With God: pray every day, have designated quiet times, listen to Christian music, buy a devotional book
-Make CCFOF Work a Priority: designate work times daily, plan weekly tasks in advance, work before homework
-Create a Budget: determine monthly income, total necessary expenses, identify spending patterns, build workable spending plan
-Exercise Twice a Week: walk around the neighborhood, buy a Wii Fit (Christmas money is a nice thing)
-Read For Fun: read every night before bed

So that's the plan of attack for January.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to that "Read for Fun" goal :)

  1. That wii fit is going to be awesome. I'll probably not recognize you the next time I see you. Your hair will be straight and you'll be totally thin. Good luck fulfilling all of your promises to yourself. I know you can do it. BTW, I'm not into murder mysteries right now, but thanks for the recommendation. ALso, you can say blogosphere. I think as long as you have a blog it's okay.
